Total wipe out

Jobs are hard. Returning to a normalized work/ content schedule can be exhausting. But in this time of transition back to normalcy how can you create freely without feeling overwhelmed and exhausted?

I have often been the self proclaimed "world's best multi-tasker". But at the end of the day, does loosely managing everything actually accomplish anything well?

How could it?

How could any one person realistically impact every task, audition, workout, fitting, class, networking event, etc., all day and not feel worn out?

The short answer is, they can't. Even with 2 planners and 4 digital calenders-it can not be done. Things will inevitably get missed, or you'll be late to something, or you might not be able to try as hard.

Always remember, you are your greatest asset. You can't be in 30 cities over 4 months and not be tired- or look tired. And in the modeling/ acting industries looking exhausted doesn't get you booked. Take care of you, and listen to your body. It will remind you when you need to step back and take a day of rest.

My personal methods to ease the stress of "booked & busy" culture are:

  1. Take 5 minutes and focus on being present: It can be first thing in the morning, on a lunch walk - it honestly doesn't matter. Just give yourself time to be. Take in your surroundings, feel the environment around you and thank the day for giving you the opportunity to be there.

  2. Eat: Sometimes we forget to fuel our bodies with the right things. You physically can't focus your best, if you are not fed at your best. It doesn't have to be a 5-course meal three times a day, just take care of yourself and replenish what you lose.

  3. Treat yourself: It may not involve fine leather goods every time. But there has to be something in your life that is just for your own personal joy that you get to do. I like skin care treatments and massages. You might like a nice dinner or a mall pretzel. Whatever it is (within reason of course) it's yours and you deserve it. "Treat yo self"

  4. Lastly, SLEEP. 6-8 hours a night would be ideal but might not always possible. Learn the wonders of a power nap, and prosper!

I hope this helps and gives a little insight. Even if it just let's you know other people struggle with the juggle too. You've got this. Create on!
